Busman's Holiday

After a very busy day of baling hay yesterday and working long into the night, we took the afternoon off today and went to Farm Fest in Cassville. It was an old-fashioned kind of fun afternoon. They had different demonstrations and displays. There was a hayride and different kinds of tractors and implements on display. There was a chickent barbecue and all kinds of other treats to be enjoyed and even square dancing for the older folks to participate in later tonight. (we did not stay around for that)

I took the camera along and just took the opportunity to snap some pictures of my kids and their friends relaxing and enjoying themselves for a change. It's just nice to see your kids kicking back and having a bit of fun after all the hard work that you watch them do. The pleasant and happy looks on their faces is a satisfying thing for a mother to see.

Also it was nice to see my beautiful daughter enjoying herself after what she has been through with her surgery. You wouldn't even know it to look at her that she is wearing a back brace and recovering from surgery only 3 weeks ago. She is truly a blessing to this family.

And there is my husband sitting in his dream tractor. I guess he just wanted to see what it was like in the cab of a $500,000 tractor. Dream on Doug.

All in all a good time was had by all and now we go to bed and rest up for the long days of work ahead of us.
